Speedtest Global Index: July 2020 || South — Asia Mobile Internet Comparison.
Compared to the countries of Europe and South-East Asia, the countries of South Asia are lagging far behind in terms of cellular internet or mobile internet. Although Internet users and the Internet have improved a lot in the last two decades in South Asia. But the Internet condition in Europe, North America, and Southeast Asia are much better than in South Asia. However, there are many reasons behind this slow internet in South Asian countries. But the international market that has been created in South Asia in this 21st century, it is hoped that in the next one or two decades, South Asian countries will be much more technologically advanced.
This graph basically shows the internet speed in the mobile networks of South Asian countries. This entire graph is based on data from the Speedtest Global Index: July 2020. In the Speedtest Global Index: July 2020, Bhutan was not included in the list of mobile internet speeds among 138 countries. According to the Speedtest Global Index: July 2020, Maldives (61st) is ranked first in South Asia. It was followed by Sri Lanka (105th), Nepal (108th), Pakistan (112th), India (127th), Bangladesh (131st), and Afghanistan (138th).
This ranking of the speed test global index actually does not show the correct result. Because it basically shows the average result of the cellular internet speed of a whole country. As a result, the speed of the Internet will not be the same as in the capital or developed urban areas of the country. Again, the percentage of Internet users in South Asian countries is not much. For example, 54.29% of the total population in India uses the Internet, compared to 85.23% in the United States. So, it would not be right to compare one country with another by looking at this ranking.
